Blog:Health plan extras
Did you know that some of our health plans offer extras? These are additional health care services or programs that you can only get in a health plan -- and not through Fee-for-Service Medicaid.
Some of those extras can be a great bonus for you and your family.
Do you need glasses? Some plans help cover glasses and even contact lenses.
Do you have diabetes or asthma? Health plans have services to help you manage these conditions.
While Medicaid covers routine dental care for children to age 21, it doesn't cover adults. Some of our health plans do offer dental care for adults.
How do you find out about these extras? Right here on the SCHCC website! Check out the comparison charts and see what is available to you and what is available for your children.
Do you have a topic you'd like us to write about in a blog? Send us an email at blog@scchoices.com. Please know that email is not private. Messages you send can be copied or read by others. If you send us an email, this tells us that you know and accept the risks. You may email us, but please consider calling, faxing, or sending us a letter if you want to send personal health information (PHI). PHI includes a Medicaid ID number, Social Security number and a member's medical information.
