Congratulations! Pregnancy can be a magical time for moms-to-be. It is also an important time for your baby's health. At SC Choices we want you and your baby to be happy and healthy, and we want to make sure you get pregnancy care right from the start.
If you are already on Medicaid and enrolled in SC Choices when you find out you are pregnant, ask your doctor how to take care of yourself and your baby, and how often to come for pregnancy (prenatal) care.
If you are choosing a health plan and you want to keep seeing the doctor you have now during pregnancy, ask your doctor which health plan you should join. Remember that when you choose a health plan, you are choosing a group of doctors and clinics. Your doctor has to work with the health plan you join if you want to keeping seeing him or her.
The sooner you go to a doctor after you find out you're pregnant, the better chance you have of staying healthy and having a healthy baby. Call our call center if you have questions or if you need help choosing the right health plan for you.

- Reward cards
- Discounts for vitamins
- Baby items
- Breast pumps for nursing
Make sure you are taking advantage of every health care benefit, so that you and your baby get the best possible start. Talk to your doctor or call our call center as soon as you find out you are expecting!
